"And as a result they NEED to take multiple part time gig jobs to make ends meet. I investigated unemployment pay here in IL and its XX% of your prev pay so for a person making $1000/wk its $470/wk. Uber/Lyft pay about $800/wk so there would be no point putting in the effort to file for unemployment if there were gig jobs available. And if you weren't making enough at it you need to take a2nd gig job. Not good but better than starving or going homeless on $470/wk from unemployment"
