"@WallStreetApes Hell between pension & SS I only get $31K/yr & they told me I don't qualify for MediCal. I have no real property no vehicle no liquid assets & still don't qualify. I had to drop Medicare PartB+ so I could use the $185/mo premium funds for food. CA sucks"

"Part A = $XXXX Part B = $185/mo for most people Part C = $XXXX for most policies with $X deductible + a gift of dental/vision money Part D (drugs) = $XXXX (can be if it comes with your Part C) So you're paying $185/mo for comprehensive $X deductible health insurance. Penalty for not getting Part B = XX% of Part B premium for every XX mo you didn't have it but could/should have. Penalty is FOR LIFE. So when you need it (and you will) at 80yo you will pay the premium plus penalty which by then the penalty will have accumulated to around $300/mo plus (let's say) $250/mo for part B by then ="
