#JobCut TCS to cut XXXXXX jobs due to skill gaps: CEO IT giant Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) will be laying off around X per cent of its global workforce or XXXXXX people from X lakh plus employed as IT sector is adjusting to Artificial Intelligence(AI) arrival amid skill gap and a shift in technology and operating models. The big announcement came during an interview of TCS CEO K Krithivasan by a business news portal on Sunday.
TCS is the largest employer in India's IT sector generating $XXX billion revenue. While announcing first quarter FY26 results TCS disclosed workforce strength of 6,13,069 and net headcount addition of XXXXX year-on-year and attrition rate at XXXX per cent. He had also said that XXXX lakh of its work force had higher order Al skills.
MOST of these 12000 PEOPLE are laid off in middle and senior levels. COMPANY SAID the effectiveness of deployment or feasibility of deployment is not possible with them. IN THIS QUARTER, TCS associates invested XX million hours in building expertise in emerging technologies.
