When anyone says that we shouldn’t sign striker A because we don’t create enough chances for strikers, my immediate thought is that they are doing a disservice to that striker.
— Is that striker only a 6-yard box player who scores only when the ball falls to him?
— Does that striker not add anything outside the 6-yard box?
— Does that striker not create chances for the team with his movement?
— Does that striker not dominate any aspect of the game, including physical or aerial or pace or technical?
There are many things a striker can add to our team. Pattern of play and chance creation depends on how the striker plays as well.
