The U.S. is ramping up its AI race with China - and this time, it’s not just about models, it’s about infrastructure.
At a “Winning the AI Race” event, Trump pledged America would lead, as government and Silicon Valley align on building the backbone for future AI: datacenters, chips, power grids, and networks scaled for superintelligence.
AI needs energy-hungry servers, rare chips, and nationwide compute capacity.
Billions are being funneled into this physical layer - even as the tech’s long-term business model remains uncertain.
No moonshot moment yet. But the U.S. is laying down AI’s interstate highway - asap.
