TCS has always been a services-first company, not in the business of building the next OpenAI or CrowdStrike (product companies), but helping enterprises adopt tech.
Yes, in general, IT services companies were late to the AI hype to some extent, but now they’re catching up fast, deploying 100B+ parameter LLMs, training 300K+ staff, and scaling platforms like WisdomNext and Cognix.
The bigger issue isn’t that they didn’t invest earlier. It’s that cost-cutting always starts at the bottom or middle, not at the top, where top executive salaries and bonuses remain untouched. That’s what really needs scrutiny.
