Gate io has now taken the lead in Kaspa trading, accounting for over XX% of total volume. What really stands out is the liquidity gap between top exchanges.
On MEXC, it takes only around $XXXXXX to move Kaspa’s price by ±2% - around 5× less than what’s needed on That’s a clear sign of thin liquidity on MEXC.
And yet, the largest known Kaspa exchange wallet still belongs to MEXC, holding close to X billion KAS, about XXX% of total supply.
So how do we explain this contradiction?
It suggests that while many users may be holding their Kaspa on MEXC, very little of it is actually available on the order book. Whether that’s due to inactive liquidity providers or even intentional price sensitivity for easier manipulation, the setup creates conditions where price can be pushed around with relatively low capital.
It’s a sharp contrast to Gate io, where volume and depth have increased in tandem, offering more stability and less slippage for large trades.
