My earnest Gaza take is that I feel bad for the average Palestinian there. They were stupid to elevate a death cult as their political leadership that purposefully declared war on 10/7 but that doesn’t justify, in a cosmic sense, the average person’s suffering. I hope that Israel wraps up doing what it needs to do there as soon as possible and that the US leans on them to finish things up quickly. Beyond that though, I really don’t feel an obligation and I don’t see why it should be a moral emergency for me or for the average American.
