BLUE ALERT
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Fusion Center (AFC) has issued a Blue Alert regarding an officer with the Scottsboro Police Department being shot on Saturday July XX.
The suspect, identified as Daniel Victor McCarn, 29, a white male, 5’ 10’’, weighing XXX pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, of Huntsville, is currently at large and is armed and dangerous.
A manhunt is currently under way for McCarn who fled on foot and was last seen near the intersection of U.S. Highway XX and County Park Road, located within Jackson County. Please avoid this area if possible.
Multiple law enforcement agencies are on scene to assist in the search for McCarn, including Special Agents assigned to ALEA’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), Troopers assigned to ALEA’s Highway Patrol and federal partners to include the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the United States Marshals Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
If you have any information concerning McCarn’s whereabouts, do not approach him but call XXX immediately.
ALEA will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
