Stepfun will open source Step X in a wk & it is somewhat competitive (vs 2nd tier open src LLMs). Their major selling pt is integration w/ domestic chips on inference like Ascend. It is apparently XXX% more cost effective to run inference of Step X vs DS V3. It uses MoE architecture w/ 321B param & 38B active ones.
