On our fourth loss of power in the last XX hours.
Power has currently been out for about XX minutes.
Since these outages/etc are so common, you stop noticing them until you interact with people outside ES who have water, power, and internet +/- always.
Sounds suck-y, but the kids outside are playing night football (soccer) and everyone else is running off batteries, propane, and readiness.
It isn't awesome to lose basic services so frequently, but one of the cool things about LatAm is that everyone has architected their existence on "try again later." It's resilient, and families are built outside of technological dependencies.
In a dystopian future, this is a strength. In our present, it is also a strength.
