Yes, it absolutely matters.
First, you have real money. You personally don't need to own, or hold, fiat at all.
Second, they have to deal with, or accept, your real money. If you pay someone in this real money, now they can directly use it without having to sell it.
Third, it sends a strong market demand signal that real money is in demand.
