I’m really struggling with this, and I don’t care about anyone else’s opinion. It’s just really hard.

That guy was my hero when I was a kid.

Because of Hulkamania, I became more confident, and it helped me grow as a person. His legacy to me is immeasurable.

There would be no Austin, no Taker, no Roman, no Rhea, nothing. WWE wouldn’t even exist.

I’m dealing with long-term unresolved grief from the loss of a child at the moment, and this has knocked me for six. This guy was my hero, my idol. He lost his way and made some bad choices, but fuck me, so does everyone ! Chris Brown beat the fuck out of Rihanna yet somehow still is idolised! Let’s not even start about the state of the presidency.

People make mistakes. He owned it. He apologised. Move on. He’s passed now. I, for one, will hold on to the years and years of good memories.

My first-ever WWE/F live event was some time in 91, just before Hogan left. I was front row. Hogan V Bam Bam Bigelow. I got to shake the man’s hand and look him straight in the eye and say thank you. He just smiled at me. It was at that point the single greatest moment in my life.

RIP, brother !
