And also driving the whole conversation to extremes. Rather than work the problem through, these maximalist, one-sided positions are effectively saying to Israel “You must endure a security threat on your borders forever”, which rather validates those in Israel who just want to remove the problem completely. After all, if terrorism is going to be rewarded, what other option is left to Israel? It’s madness.
