This story kinda ruined Judge Dredd by explaining the joke of the series, & demanding you take it more seriously. It's like he was getting too popular so they had to step in & say YOU MISSED THE POINT BY IDOLIZING HIM!!!!
It gets recommended all the time as the entry-level introduction to Judge Dredd when really it's the worst possible intro because although it's well made, it's an official rebuttal to anyone who was enjoying Dredd "the wrong way" & thus a real wet blanket for any potential new fans
