As an extremely optimistic TSLA shareholder going into the call today, I thought it was one of the worst earnings calls I've heard. There was no excitement or passion from anyone on the call, particularly Elon, which was very disappointing. The CFO sounded like he'd rather be drinking bleach than be on the call. Many things Elon said previously (particularly pertaining to the timeframes for future Optimus production) were walked back substantially. Even his previous statement of "I think Tesla will be worth more than the next top-5 most valuable companies in the world combined" is now "I think we could become the most valuable company in the world". Analysts and investors who had done extensive research and modeling and had price targets of $8k-$10k in 2030 based on anticipated Optimus production through 2030 due to Elon's past production timeframes and estimates can now comfortably slash their 2030 price target by 2/3. All things considered, I'll likely be selling half of my shares when the stock eventually recovers from the well-deserved shellacking that it's going to take tomorrow.
