🚨🇹ðŸ‡ðŸ‡°ðŸ‡ THAI AND CAMBODIAN TROOPS EXCHANGE FIRE AS BORDER CRISIS ERUPTS
Thai and Cambodian soldiers opened fire Thursday morning near the ancient Prasat Ta Muen Thom temple in Thailand’s Surin province.
It came one day after Thailand expelled Cambodia’s ambassador over a land mine blast that injured a Thai soldier.
Thai troops reported spotting a drone and six armed Cambodian soldiers before shots were fired.
Thailand returned fire using a field cannon. No casualties were reported.
The clash follows weeks of rising diplomatic tension and is still unfolding.
