Fellow parents can relate kind of post that might be a bit heavy..

There’s something almost unbearable about the combination of an almost 3-year-old doing the funniest, most bizarre things, learning everything and making you crack up in the process, and you’re doubled over laughing, fully present in the moment, and at the same time, there’s this quiet ache underneath it all:

Because you know it’s temporary. You know it’s vanishing in real time.

And what makes it even more bittersweet is that they won’t even remember it. But you will.

It’s a painfully sharp detail and in real time feels like a dream you know you can’t re-enter, no matter how much you want to.
