Something I never really considered as a person, let alone a parent is just how damaging it is when your government becomes untrustworthy.
My son needs his 1st year vaccines. Now, after covid and after all the other total non-sense the UK government has done it has become difficult to trust my government.
This is largely fine as an individual, you say F you government and you use crypto, generally disassociate from politics and focus on yourself.
But this is way WAY different when you have a child. So I'm now supposed to trust the government with injecting my child with X vaccines?
No clue what's in the little tube, sure I can read the labels and the pamphlets etc. but I don't KNOW that it's what they say it is.
I also don't KNOW it's safe, I'm not a doctor or a vaccine specialist - guess what I have to do, I have to trust them. I trust them with my childs health, my childs life.
That's some pretty big f*ckin' trust - and that's hard to do when all the government has done or the last XX years is totally erode my trust.
I'm not getting into whether vaccines are good or bad on the internet - none of us are qualified to have that conversation.
I just wanted to vent how f*ckin' scary it is to put that much trust in your government at a time when I'm completely distrusting of them.
NGL kinda messed me up for a bit the last few days.
