My honest opinion on @astroversewtf upcoming mint on @AbstractChain — the positives and the negatives: Supply: XXXXX NFTs Mint Price: XXXX ETH
The artwork is genuinely high quality — clean, detailed, and visually appealing.
One of the more interesting aspects is their $1M partnership fund, backed by Abstract and Cobble Capital. This fund is aimed at supporting new projects, developers, and teams building on Abstract — a reflection of the effort Abstract is putting in to empower and uplift creators in the ecosystem. Early supporters (NFT holders) could benefit from this indirectly — whether through exposure, network effects, or future value flowing back to the community to boost marketing and growth.
Since Abstract is still in its early stages, there’s real potential here for early believers to build long-term, meaningful relationships within the ecosystem.
Other positives:
The dev is doxxed, which adds a level of trust. Some of their tweets have been reposted by @AbstractChain, signaling early recognition and possible alignment.
Now, a few honest reservations:
While I genuinely like the artwork — it stood out to me — the mint price (0.03 ETH) feels a bit on the high side, especially for a project that’s still early and finding its footing specially on this new chain. Also, while $1M sounds like a solid backing, in today’s market, it’s not exactly game-changing — so I’m not yet fully convinced it’s a strong value driver on its own.
For now, I’ll likely wait and watch post-launch to see how things evolve. If the team executes well and momentum builds, I might jump in later.
