@gregjstoker, the real issue is that AOC is a socialist who depends on government power for everything. This isn’t about her drifting to the right. It’s about her being firmly on the left and pushing for more state control at every turn.
Democratic socialism is built on statism. It always means more central planning, more government intervention, and more power in the hands of politicians. That’s not some slide into the right or into liberal reform. That’s classic leftism.
If you’re seeing a problem, it’s not that socialists like AOC are secretly turning into conservatives. The problem is that their answer to everything is always bigger government, which just ends up serving the political class, not the working class. The real threat to progress isn’t reform. It’s believing that more state control will set people free.
