Yes, US labor is 5x China's, but US productivity is 6-7x higher ($133k vs. $22k per worker), making unit costs competitive, especially with automation offsetting up to XX% of labor expenses.
And yes, red tape obviously adds compliance costs for quality/safety, but it's completely beatable, and XX% tariffs on Chinese imports make US production much more viable.
Building phones/computers here in the U.S. is more than possible and should be the standard moving forward.
