I get you, but the thing a lot of people forget is that before Activision went full pants-on-head retard: Warzone was fun and had some great ideas. DMZ was a natural evolution of it, and I really think they were on the verge of a big eureka moment of collaborative co-op PVE (they were damn close with that zombies mode) when they just kind of got tied up by a combination of bad things.
Decisions were clearly being made in the boardroom, not around the design table. Microtransactions that either directly (skins with perks) or indirectly (here's an all black skin that just straight up disappears in shadow) impacting gameplay. RAMPANT and unchecked cheating/hacking.
They had a the golden goose, and didn't even cook it. They killed it, fucked the corpse, and stapled a family guy skin to it.
Someone else can pick up this torch and run with it, and if it winds up being EA via BF it would certainly make for one hell of a redemption arc.
