Football is beautifully cyclic as I always say.

“Why doesn’t anyone else want him”

“I don’t trust goals in that league”

“He’s useless without his goals & can’t hold up the ball well”

Ironically loads of parallels with the man responsible for AFC’s last & only trophy under Arteta. Another LHS-biased absolute bagsman.

It’s a safe bet to take with Havertz already there.

His mentality is the difference-maker and why I think he’ll probably be a success relative to his fee.

Always said it was the most important thing for someone with his style and he sounds like a mentality-monster with how he’s pushed through this move alone. If he wants something, he’s getting it.

I suspect that’s an omen. He won’t let himself fail at AFC. That’s an underrated thing to consider.

The relentlessness of the channel-running, the ballstriking but more importantly he’s 27+ and in his prime. He’s in that zone & has overcome serious adversity in his career + AFC have too much quality for him not to score. 20+ league goals wouldn’t shock me (if he takes pens like most 9s). Arteta is smart enough to figure it out.

I think Gyokeres could be a teaching moment for Arteta & maybe much of their fanbase.

Sometimes football is more simple than it seems.
