Gravity as an attractive force fits Newton’s laws—two masses pull on each other, and F=ma tells you how acceleration works in response. Einstein, though, flips the script: gravity isn’t a force, but the effect of mass curving spacetime, and “resistance” is just you refusing to fall freely along that curve.
Think about it—standing on Earth, it’s the ground pushing up, not gravity pulling down in the classical sense. The math still checks out at normal scales, but Einstein’s take runs deeper, especially when relativity kicks in.
