Powell Did Not Mention Monetary Policy in Latest Meeting
According to HashNews, Federal Reserve Chair Powell today resigned without making any controversial or newsworthy statements during a regulatory meeting. He did not provide any hints on monetary policy in his prepared brief speech, nor did he mention the Trump administration's pressuring actions. As Federal Reserve officials are currently in the “quiet period” before the meetings on July 29-30, they are prohibited from publicly commenting on interest rates and the economy.
