@MasterTimBlais @Pa0la__ people over-index on genius midcentury physicists. and in the 20th century physics was the smart place to be! physicists were making huge progress and becoming worldwide celebrities. that's not the case in 2025. so why wouldn't genius polymaths go do something else, like music?
