The average home cost in my home state in 1980 (the year I bought my first home) was $63.7k, adjusted for inflation that is $248.5k in today’s dollars. The average home value in my home state today is $XXXXX. The big difference being the interest rate on my first mortgage was 12%!
I just retired this year. No pension, only personal savings and 401k. Pension plans are only commonly for government workers or those belonging to large labor union (without regard to age).
My fist job paid $XXXX an hour.
Here is the extra special part: The value of all the money I have managed to save over my ENTIRE LIFE’s has decreased over XX% in recent years due to government out of control money printing.
If it weren’t so sad that there are so many folks gullible enough to buy into this divisive fiction (keep the citizens hating one another so that they don’t get angry ar the real culprit) I’d find your statements hilarious.
