So both the motherboard and the CPU got fried. Jeez. But that wasn't the end of the story.
30s later, the Windows login screen showed up. Another 10s later - BSOD. I tried again. Same result. I swapped various BIOS settings related to secure boot. Same thing. Arrrrrrgh!
