I think people forget these are small businesses being squeezed by food inflation and rising minimum wage.
I didn't quite catch what he's saying in the interview, but he said he pays $1.5M in taxes a year. My guess is that we need tax breaks for small businesses that employ Canadians, since we can't get around minimum wage.
Years and years ago I learned that lots of Tamil people work in Toronto kitchens. And they always had a reputation of being good cooks.
