X years later and the problems with VW software updates remain.
You have to charge XX% of the battery and you have to drive the vehicle to get the update via cell which makes no sense as connectivity is easily interrupted but was probably designed to ensure VW Group revenue as it would be free for connectivity as WiFi.
That means if you don't drive your VW BEV a lot as download times are long, you never get the update. Installations are still under hours BTW.
That being said, even with the latest hyped models like the ID.7, VW has the very worst problems with the display and software.
This is BTW the company that claims to be innovative.
