->Why is Trustless BTC revolutionary?
If it were possible to use BTC in DeFi in a decentralized, trustless manner (e.g., not through intermediaries like wrapped BTC), this would bring Bitcoin's true value to the DeFi world. This would be a major step forward that hasn't been achieved before.
->What is BitVM and why is it important?
BitVM (Bitcoin Virtual Machine) is an experimental approach that brings smart contract-like functionality to Bitcoin. This means that native (directly on the BTC network) LSTs (Liquid Staking Tokens) could be possible. This means that, like stETH on Ethereum, BTC could be staked and converted into liquid tokens.
->What does BTCFi look like with real infrastructure?
The Bitcoin DeFi examples we've seen so far have mostly been wrapped, centralized solutions like wBTC. Projects like Solv, SatLayer and BOB are building a new financial system with true decentralized protocols, without wrapped IOUs, directly on the BTC infrastructure.
