#sapsGP [COMBINED POLICE EMERGENCY SERVICES SUCCESSES] From Friday 11/07 until Thursday, 1707, #SAPS Rapid Response Services comprising of #FlyingSquad, #K9Unit and Highway Patrol members throughout Gauteng arrested XX suspects, recovering XX motor vehicles and X firearms.
Members participated in various concentrated operations, vehicle checkpoints, secured escorts and intensive patrols around Gauteng, which led to XX arrests for serious crimes including assault common and GBH, possession of suspected stolen property, possession of gold bearing material, business robbery, malicious damage to property, driving under the influence of alcohol, contravention of the Immigration Act, carjacking, bribery, drinking in public, contravention of protection order, crimen injuria, perjury, attempted murder, kidnapping, possession of house breaking equipment and theft.
A total of XX hijacked and stolen motor vehicles were resulting in the arrest of XX suspects for the possession of these vehicles. X Unlicensed firearms were recovered, securing X arrests.
In further policing actions, XX arrests were made for the possession of and dealing in drugs. Heroin, dagga crystal methamphetamine, cocaine and mandrax were among the drugs confiscated in these separate incidents. Investigation continues in these cases. #PoliceVisibility #FightingCrime ME
