Hello Nyakundi

I’m writing to express the growing concerns and frustrations many of us in the military are about to face at the end of July regarding the newly introduced rule where by they want to chanell solders meal pay to Desacco account.
This directive has caused serious unrest among soldiers, and rightly so. It's clear that those who introduced this rule are only thinking about themselves, yet they try to mask their intentions as if they are acting in our best interest. The truth is, every time funds are channeled through this Desacco account, the risks of those funds being misused for personal gain are extremely high. This is not only a breach of trust, but a direct insult to the integrity and sacrifices of every soldier serving this nation.
It's becoming evident that we are headed towards a tipping point. If this kind of mistreatment continues, it won’t be long before military personnel begin leaving in large numbers. We’ve already seen how NCOs are constantly being demoralized and devalued simply because some assume we don't understand what's happening behind the scenes.
Let’s not forget the past pay increment issue, commissioned officers received a pay rise of not less than 30k while NCOs only got not more than 5k. Where is the fairness in that? It’s a clear indication of systematic neglect and disrespect. To make matters worse, during external missions, NCOs’ meal allowances are often deducted while those of commissioned officers remain untouched. This is nothing short of torture and a blatant display of inequality.
If these leaders want us to remain patriotic, they must first show patriotism and honesty toward us. We are not asking for favors just fairness, respect, and transparency. The CIC and his corrupt minded generals need to understand that soldiers are not blind. We see the games being played, and we are tired of the lies.
