Why did everyone get excited when I called (one aspect of) the new OpenAI model impressive?
I also said that each of these models were (in some respects) impressive.

and that’s just a partial list.
None of these were AGI. The new one isn’t either. Nobody even remembers Cicero.
It’s a long journey, and we have a long way to ago.
Let’s celebrate progress but not get overexcited, either.
