We badly need a midfielder. That was clear after today’s game. Someone all-round, athletic, and capable of providing control.
Baleba? Wharton? Ederson? All are expensive and seem unlikely this season given our financial situation. I expect most of the budget will go toward a striker.
That’s why Wilfred Ndidi could be a smart, affordable option. He brings loads of Premier League experience, has wages around £75,000 a week, and would cost around £8M.
Seems like a practical choice.
