I have a few more @SecDef and thank you for all you and @DNIGabbard are doing.
X. Look into the digitizing of the DOD Joint Pathology Center. Google has wanted that for a long time. Who is doing it and are they an ethical company?
X. Any connections you should look into about Accrete and Argus AI since the founder was friends with General McCrystal and McCrystal was later appointed to the board of the company. Being that McCrystal openly supported both Biden and Harris and was not a fan of Trump. That company has many DOD contracts now. That began in 2020.
X. Was the Global Engagement Center fully shut down and everyone involved in censoring Americans blocked from government employment?
What companies are now working on the DOD Cloud?
What companies did you catch using China or CCP controlled assets?
The original Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) contract was awarded to Microsoft on October 25, 2019, with a planned duration of XX years. It was cancelled on July 6, 2021.
The replacement Joint Warfighter Cloud Capability (JWCC) contract was awarded to Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure on December 7, 2022, running through June 2028.
Have you and @SecVetAffairs looked into the history of the DOD MHS Genesis program? And the history of contracts for the VA Medical Record system? Are you ensuring those companies move forward at a better pace and are held accountable for failures?
The original contract between Cerner and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) was a $XX billion, 10-year agreement to modernize the VA’s electronic health records (EHR) system.
It was signed on May 17, 2018, with initial planning and development starting shortly thereafter, though the first go-live deployment at a VA facility (Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington) did not occur until October 24, 2020.
The software used under the contract was Cerner’s Millennium EHR platform, a commercial, off-the-shelf system designed for electronic health records management, which was selected to align with the Department of Defense’s (DoD) existing use of the same Cerner software for interoperability between VA and DoD health systems.
Oracle announced its acquisition of Cerner on December 20, 2021, in a $XXXX billion all-cash deal.
The acquisition was completed on June 8, 2022, at which point Oracle took over Cerner’s operations, including the VA contract (rebranded as Oracle Health).
Yes, the VA is still using Cerner’s software tools as the core of its EHR modernization program, now rebranded and managed as the Oracle Health EHR (or Federal EHR) system.
Deployments were paused in April 2023 due to performance issues, outages, and patient safety concerns, but the VA resumed limited rollouts in 2023 and plans to expand to additional sites in 2026, with ongoing support and fixes from Oracle.
The VA has not switched to a different vendor’s software and continues to invest in the Oracle-managed Cerner-based system, despite criticisms and delays.
The VA’s Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program, which utilizes the Oracle Health (formerly Cerner) Millennium EHR platform, is directly connected to the Department of Defense’s (DoD) MHS GENESIS
The primary connection is via the DoD/VA Joint Health Information Exchange (HIE)
KLAS Research noted Cerner’s presence in the region, including China and Thailand, as part of its global EHR market expansion efforts.
SEC filings list “Diamond (KH) China AssetCo” as a subsidiary under Cerner (now Oracle Health)
In 2015, Xu Jiaqiang, a Chinese national and former Cerner software engineer, was charged with stealing proprietary source code valued at over $XXX million. He pleaded guilty to attempting to transfer the code to undisclosed parties, potentially in China, and was deported there in 2017 after serving time.
Post-acquisition, Cerner’s EHR technology has been integrated into Oracle Health
