#Kīlauea is in a bit of a slump after XX episodes of fountaining. Summit inflationary tilt has reached the level recorded at the onset of episode 28, indicating that the start of episode XX is close. However, the tephra cone in Halemaʻumaʻu slumped into the north vent in the days after the end of the episode 28, created a blockage. Additional pressurization may be required to initiate the next episode, delaying the onset of fountaining.
