*in 1980s Ghana, much of the country was rural and without electricity so movies weren’t an option. Enter the mobile movie rigs, where guys would drive a truck with a generator and a VHS TV to villages to give them entertainment. To promote the movie show they’d hire Ghana artists to create posters for the rigs, painted on flour and rice sacks. The story is heartwarming and the art is just wild and over the top, and a lot of time doesn’t have anything to do with the movie
