Republicans currently have narrow control of both the House and the Senate, so yes, they technically have the ability to introduce and pass a standalone bill on the Epstein files without Democratic support—though their majority is extremely slim and nearly every Republican would need to be on board for it to succeed.
So far, GOP leadership has argued that recent efforts to release the files were “not relevant” to the underlying bills they were attached to, but nothing’s stopping them from drafting their own clean bill on the issue if there’s enough will within the party to do so.
