What's with the low ATR% stocks on the Watchlist? 💩
You may notice some lower ATR% stocks on the watchlist - the ATR% cell will be pale red (see pic 1)
The largest cap stocks (such as $AMZN $META and currently $AVGO) will typically have lower ATR%. These stocks are permitted with a lowered ATR% threshold (minimum 2.5%) BUT the market cap must be $50B+ and it must have a reward-risk of 2+.
If the reward-risk is sufficient AND the stock is within a leading group (top 20%) then a lowered ATR% (minimum 2%) is permitted.
Otherwise the ATR RS must be 50+ (i.e. above average ATR)
To illustrate $PM was a recent inclusion between Feb-Jun yet had an ATR% of around X% but met the cap threshold.
Hopefully this clarifies.
