Maurene Comey, the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, coveyed in an email to co-workers Thursday that the Justice Department's decision to fire her signals that the department's work and operation may now be politicized.
"But we have entered a new phase where “without fear” may be the challenge," Comey wrote. "If a career prosecutor can be fired without reason, fear may seep into the decisions of those who remain. Do not let that happen."
