The Ghana cedi is projected to end 2025 at GH¢11.45/$1 on the interbank market, according to IC Research. Currently trading at GH¢10.40/$1 interbank and over GH¢12/$1 in retail, the cedi faces pressure despite BoG’s US$4.6 billion in FX interventions this year.
IC Research notes a fair value of GH¢12.2/$1 and supports the IMF’s call for reduced BoG market intervention and greater rate flexibility.
