At the moment:
You cannot claim your unstaked $DOT, even after the unbonding period. For up to X months, some users have been trying to no avail.
Some users mention they cannot import the Polkadot wallet created on Trust to another wallet, using the 12-word phrase issued by Trust.
Others who were able to import the wallet to a native Polkadot wallet, like @NovaWalletApp, could not find their $DOT balance there, even though it can be seen on @subscan_io
Trust says the Polkadot team is performing a hard fork. So these issues are expected.
I think they need a Substrate developer right now because Polkadot utilizes forkless runtime upgrades and does not do hard forks.
