I love the game of golf. It is a gentleman's game. It depends on honor. It requires incredible physical skills (strength, flexibility, touch) and, just as importantly, mental ability: creativity, imagination, resilience.
My favorite tournaments are The Masters and The Open, because these tournaments require more than just outrageous physical skills. They demand outstanding intellectual abilities. Players must adjust each shot to meet the constantly changing dynamics between the elements and the course. That requires immense amount of knowledge, experience, and creativity.
Links golf especially exposes players who are weak mentally, players who lack the creativity to find novel solutions to the course's challenge.
