Some updates on this name for those that have been following along it’s journey:
Malaysia banned X competitors from operating in the country as of July 24th because they were engaging in fraud. Bullish $GRAB as more regional consolidation continues to happen.
Option flow is beginning to heat up. Today alone, 187K calls were traded and 18K puts were trade. P/C ratio at .10 is also very bullish. The $XXX 8/15 call and $XX 1/27 call had some big orders.
TA is looking exceptional as the inverse head & shoulders is beginning to really tighten up and it feels as if it’s coiled for a breakout. 51M shares traded today on avg volume of 38M.
Again I am very long this name for the next decade and with it trading at XX% cash, it feels safer than some of the high momentum names given $GRAB is +12% YTD with nearly $9B in cash to continue doubling down on growth.
Management team is exceptional (have deeply studied the C-Suite) Ray Dalio/Howard Marks are in.
XX% institutional float, would be very curious to see if Marks doubled down in Q2 after buying 10.2M shares in Q1.
Just hard to find a company that is taking over and consolidating inside an entire region (Southeast Asia) but that is what $GRAB is doing. Q2 on July 30th, not expecting a major move but would love to continue see strong topline growth with broader Q3-Q4 momentum.
