Georgia Tech and its partners have secured $XX million from the National Science Foundation to build Nexus, an advanced Al-powered supercomputer set to be one of the fastest in the U.S. Once operational in 2026, Nexus will be capable of over XXX quadrillion operations per second, dramatically accelerating research in fields like drug discovery, clean energy, climate science, and robotics.

Nexus is designed to be accessible to researchers nationwide, not just those at major tech hubs. With user-friendly interfaces and high-speed data transfer systems, it aims to make advanced Al and high-performance computing tools widely available. The system wlillinclude massive memory and storage- enough to hold data equivalent to XX billion reams of paper-and willink with the University of linois Urbana-Champaign's supercomputing resources for a shared national infrastructure.

Georgia Tech will manage access through an NSF review process, reserving XX% of capacity for its own campus research. Nexus is expected to democratize Al resources and open new doors for scientific breakthroughs, building on Georgia Tech's prior experience with large-scale computing projects.
