At exactly 6:06 PM today, voting begins on Kaia Square for [GP16] StakingTrackerV2 Upgrade for CL Voting Power Integration (Automatic). This proposal has a long and peculiar history, so it's hard to know where to start. But let’s first take a look at the seemingly random participation of Metabora in the CL program. (I hesitate to even say “let’s find out”… 💦💦💦)
In March 2025, [GP11] Kaia Consensus Liquidity & Participants passed. It introduced the Consensus Liquidity (CL) model, and the first participants selected were @Swapscanner and @bora_ecosystem (Metabora).
Swapscanner’s inclusion made sense. It’s KaiaChain’s most widely used DEX aggregator. But the issue was... Bora. A lot of people were like, “Why Bora of all things?” Wasn’t that the same company from the legendary phone-number-swap at the Korean medicine clinic?
Since Bora is listed on Upbit (still is), some people started spinning up “hopium” like: “Wait… is $BORA teaming up with Kaia to get on Upbit somehow?” Still, there was no clear reason to bring Bora into CL.
Then just yesterday, a PR article dropped. It announced an MOU between LINE NEXT and Metabora. Metabora games will be distributed on the LINE Mini Dapp platform, and purchases will be possible only with $BORA.

It turns out this was all part of a larger flow aiming to make $BORA a practical Web3 payment token. At first, Bora’s inclusion in CL didn’t make sense. But now it looks like it was a strategic move tied to the expansion of the LINE-linked ecosystem.
Of course, there are still some older bros who aren’t happy. They’re like, “Bora isn’t even extended family, let alone part of our Kaia household.” Hardcore traditionalists, I tell you 🥵💦💦💦 But honestly… what other token in the Kaia ecosystem could you even give CL to? $ELDE? $FOFO? $BOMB? I mean… did any of them make it to Upbit? Didn’t think so. It’s not like Bora was picked out of a hat it was a selected move.
Now, today’s vote [GP16] is about giving voting power to CL liquidity. I meant to ask this in the forum, but forgot… Wait ,does it also give interest rewards, not just voting rights? @seo_sangmin oppa… please help, I’m getting shaky.
Of course, for this Metabora CL inclusion and voting power strategy to really work for the entire Kaia ecosystem, there’s one key condition: Metabora needs to deliver meaningful results. If not, it’ll just look like the Foundation dug up an old corpse and gave it new life for nothing and they'll catch all the heat. If Metabora underperforms, it might look like LINE NEXT gave Metabora some sweetheart deals behind the scenes. 🥶 All eyes on [GP16] today governance members and KaBoomies/KaSoonies, please pay close attention~
