Lots of great golfers like to talk about playing shots quickly and letting themselves be athletic. I’m convinced no one does that better in golf than @mattjonesgolf…now this looks a bit more like a drill but if you’ve ever seen him play in person the speed of which he gets over the ball and hits in today’s professional game is staggering. Talks out his yardage and target, steps into the ball and pulls the club back in an instant. If you’re ever struggling with paralysis of analysis or way too many swing thoughts I highly recommend this approach. It’ll not only free you up but if you still play poorly at the very least you’re doing it at a speed your playing partners will respect. I’ve tried to incorporate a bit in my game and it’s helped a lot. Standing over the ball does you no favors, pick a club and a target you’re comfortable with and hit the ball! Hoping for a great week from Matt! One good enough to get him away from the drop zone and @rippergc_ some points as the hunt for the first round bye has gotten harder with the last few results.
