🇪🇺🇺🇸 EU: TRADE DEAL WITH TRUMP IS ALMOST THERE
The EU says it’s close to a framework deal with Trump after Ursula von der Leyen spoke with him on Sunday.
EU Spokesman Olof Gill:
“They had a good exchange.
We’re at the beginning of the end game, at least for an agreement in principle.”
The bloc is pushing for better terms on cars, steel, planes, and more - and warning they’re ready to retaliate if talks fall apart.
EU leaders are on standby, running last-minute calls to avoid a tariff war before the Aug. X deadline hits.
All options are still on the table, Brussels says.
